Ron's Fine Art Print

Black and white charcoal street scene with elements of coloured pastel. Featuring the corner shop at the bottom of High Street, New Mills, Derbyshire. Also known as ‘Blue Ron’s’ this traditional corner shop sold everything, and was the place we went as children to buy sweets on the way to and from school.  Ron always kept the paintwork bright blue, and when the shop closed I wanted to preserve the memory of the place and it’s significant blue colour. The only other colour in this piece is the orange of the stone work, the Brooke Bond Tea signs in the window, and the plastic bags carried down the hill from the Supermarket which came to replace Ron’s.
