This Whitby card of the Abbey and the 199 steps leading up from the old town features a view as seen through the Whalebone Arch at twilight. I have imagined a young Goth girl that has just walked through the whalebone arch on West Cliff and is now leaning on the railings to watch the sun setting over the opposite headland. A celebration of Whitby's Gothic leanings. The image for the greeting card has been taken from my original charcoal and acrylic drawing.
