A proper pub in a special place. Looking up King Street, towards The Dolphin Robin Hood’s Bay on the North Yorkshire Coast. When the pub was built in the 18th century, Robin Hood’s Bay was one of the busiest smuggling ports on the east coast, and a tunnel from the harbour used by smugglers runs right beneath this historic building. The village has two narrow main streets which wind their way downhill to meet at the harbour, and ‘Ye Dolphin’ pub has entrances on both streets.

Robin Hood’s Bay is a special place for many people, including myself.
